Good Evening, Fabbers, Friends and Forumites

Heaven the sky is slate grey here, the temperature has dropped. Mr Wind is howling around bending the trees to his will and causing the white horses to dance and run across the sea. Its not an evening to venture out, though try telling Pooch that!

As I type he is looking across at me from his large bumper poochs book of jolly hard sums. Big eyes imploring me to done my jolly severe weather gear to venture out. Though on a night like this we may have to don diver boots to stop us being blown far over the rainbow.

Just having a jolly swell cuppa as we type and listing to Radio Six music, I do love the wireless . They have just played Yellow , by Coldplay. I know there are some out there who would deride this band, but this is such a great song. I remember the day I first heard it, such a simple song with that superb lazy powerful guitar riff. I must say I felt jolly blown away.

Pooch and I are busy chatting about songs that on fist listening , just took our breath away , our list so far is

Yellow --- Coldplay

Bitter Sweet Symphony – The Verve ( yes I know the stones bit)

Ace of Spade –Motorhead

Highway to Hell – ACDC

Smells Like Teen Spirit -- Nirvana

Alive – Pearl Jam

Like a Hurricane – Neil Young Crazy Horse

There are so many more the list would make the thread even longer than our normal ones .

So chums tonight’s question

What song on your first listen made you stop and go WOW?

Have Fun Chums , stay safe

Taff and Pooch

The only tune I know that had that effect on me has to be The Transylvanian Lullaby from Young Frankenstein.

I know that it sounds daft with it being from a movie but the music on its own is quite beautiful. As Frau Blucher would describe it, it reaches the soul when words are useless.
