Can you believe I went out, not out out, but out, after I realised I'd left my phone at home I began to feel anxious can you believe.
But guess what, I engaged with other people and actually had a good conversation.
Who'd have thunk it. |

My family know never to ring my mobile, it's probably in the kitchen on charge or in the workshop with a flat battery under a pile of wood shavings.
If I am in the pub and have my phone with me, it was an accident, Only ever carry the phone deliberately when putting together an event. it has no place in my personal life. |

"Anybody else with an unhealthy attachment to their devices. "
I have an unhealthy attachment to my Hudl as it has my games on there.Heaven help those who fiddle with it or take my charger.
My phone, no. I'm always leaving it at home or at the bottom of my bag. Alot of my friends think I'm strange as they have theirs permanently attached to them. |

How did you get on with not socialising with an electronic device? ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"Me old mate thinks phones should be handed in behind the bar when you walk into a pub like guns were in the westerns "
that will be my first law when elected sheriff of everywhere
great story I heard (want me) a guy out with a group of friends gets annoyed as they keep interupting the conversation to read texts reply etc. reaches into his bag and takes out a pen and paper, then completely ignoring the group starts to write, puzzled the group ask what he is doing, "writing to my mother" he replied. "why do that now?" the group asks, putting the pen down he loops at the group and sas "Exactly!"

I take my phone out when I have work. When I go out out I don't take it with me, I tend to loose it especially if I'm drinking |

I know rationally that I could leave my phone at home and have time without it, however that never happens.
Even when I go out with my best mate for a few pints, it's usually used just as a camera so we can wind up our other friends who couldn't make it. |

I HATE mobiles, they are so anti social. When I go out I switch it off it is there for if needed. As for smart phones, they are discusting they stop proper communication,if someone uses one in my company I view them as being rude and ignorant.
I realise that most people do not like my views but tough titty. |

I use mine almost constantly in the house and at work. If I'm on a night out or something I don't tend to check it much though, unless the people I'm with are all boring ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I don't have mine on nor do I check it at work. My children know where I am, though, if there is an emergency. When we almost missed our flight, over the holidays, Mr forgot his phone. Meant when we returned a week later, we had missed some crucial and life changing news .... sometimes they are essential. |

When I'm out with friends, there's a no phone rule we all stick too. Also applies when we're trying to remember something, no googling it. We actually try and use our brains. Hurts! |

I'm more than capable of communicating with both friends on the other wise of the world and friends sitting in front of me within the same space-time continuum. So I still manage to have good conversations with both groups of people. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |
