there is a possibility, my friend works on trains checking tickets, so in last 20 yrs has met and spoke to thousands, so they are 1 degree of separation from me, so i can see how when you get 6 deg how this theory can work |

It needs to be more than just a chance encounter otherwise everyone you say hi to at a football match/on the tube/bus train etc is bound to lead to very few degrees of separation.
It works for me with people I genuinely know or have had more than just a hello with. Obviously I have no way of knowing if the connection is to every other single human being on the planet, but I can trace a genuine connection to practically every celeb/politician/head of state/musician etc, so assume it would hold for the vast majority of the world's population too. |
