"Who gets the blues in winter? Has anyone tried a light box? Does it help?"
I tend to suffer with the onset of winter, I'm sure.
I find a tight box helps!
In a serious note I haven't used one myself, but I know people swear by them. And they have come down in price to what they were. Hope you lose those blues soon! |

My sister tried one&says it helped somewhat.Even it's scientifically unproven or not,I get the winter blues,S.A.D call it what you will.Already starting to perk up again with just the extra daylight.
I don't know if it's mental, chemical or a combination of multiple things but it hits me most years&I end up on mild anti-depressants.Just finished two weeks ago
Hope you find something to spark your brightness back into gear OP.

I certainly get the winter blues and I tend to hibernate but I do also have other issues. I've not used a light box but since I've been taking a good quality multi vit my health has improved.

Light boxes won't help anyone with SAD as it does not simulate sun light. To simulate sun light you need full spectrum bulbs, and virtually no sad light boxes have them fitted.
Rather than waste your money on expensive Sad Light boxes just buy a facial solarium from a charity shop or flea market

"A recent report says it doesn't exist...
tell that to the Nordic population I am sure they would have something to say about it. "
I'm not saying it doesn't exist only what a recent report said... |
