Mandarins, Satsumas, Tangerines, Clementines, Easy Peel..

Whats the bloomin' difference?

I like them all.. i just dont notice any difference

It's all bullshit! They're the bloody same just different sizes. My mate swore she preferred clementines. However, in a blind taste test she didn't have a clue. They're all the same lol x

They're generally on special offer at the supermarket one at a time. Other than that, I can't tell the difference.

I can't tell the difference between satsumas and tangerines, but I could tell you of you had given me a Clementine, satsuma or manadrin

actually i dont think ive boought a whole mandarin.. only ever bought 'broken segments' in a tin

The days pre diet when i used to make fruit flans with quick gel... ahhh memories

Satsumas are your basic and most generic tasting small, sweet/tart orangoid fruit. Squat in shape.

Clementines tend to be much more fragrant, have a stiffer skin, and not as juicy, but sweeter than sats. Rounder in shape too.

Easy peel are just commercial names of clementines or satsumas.

Tangerines look a bit like satsumas, but are generally more sour.

Mandarins are smaller than all the above, have a very thin skin, are a bugger to peel, and tend to be more tart too.

I take my fruit very seriously. Lol.
