I've got nice cold Fentimans rose lemonade for my gin, which is nice.

But, do I go with convention and add ice which removes a little of the sparkle and dilutes it as you drink it, but chills it even more and adds a lovely clink as you play with your drink.

Or forego the ice, which doesn't suffer those problems, but you get no clink and it just looks a bit wrong

Get some of those frozen plastic things which are designed to solve this very dilemma

(That might not help tonight but for a longer-term solution...)

My first world problem is I'm sorting out my makeup drawer and can't decide if it's better to classify liquid highlighters with foundations or with blushers

Stick the glasses in the freezer and ice them instead - or fashion an ice sheath from a pint glass, a thinner tumbler inside and elastic bands to hold the whole contraption together (plus a straw to drink it from). The latter would be a right pain in the arse so my advice would be to suck it up, buttercup and live with the dilution.

Specialist section. I'd file them with concealers, green underfoundation and the like. I need a makeup drawer to organise rather than various pencil cases and toiletry bags.

Put them in between and let them decide whether they feel more in one side or the other.

That's what I did with my garlic salt when I couldn't decide if it was a herb or a spice...

I don't have enough sections, dammit. Need more selective drawer dividers.

It says you have to wash the granite ones though, although the reviews indicate they work better than the lakeland plastic ones. I don't even know what soapstone is.

This is a hard choice.

I don't know what soapstone is either but it looks like it would go better in my drinks than the granite ones. Hmmm.

Don't buy soapstone ones - they're a load of schist!

(Joke for the geologists amongst you there...)

Soapstone is a type of schist, which is itself a metamorphic rock, but schist sounds a little like...

It's the way I tell 'em...

.

.

.

.

...that makes them particularly unamusing

These freezer things, just say you have half a dozen drinks over an e evening, how many drinks would they cool? Would I be filling my freezer with rocks?

And the gin is Blackwood

And Ruby, I think the solution is to buy more makeup so that you need a special category for this stuff rather than an either/or.

My solution for the gin tonight was to go without ice and see what I preferred.

I like the look and sound of the ice in the glass. So ice in this one

Have a crayola fight with the less good stuff then you'll need to buy some more good stuff
