No, not semen samples from doggers but testing doggie doo doos for DNA so that owners who fail to scoop the poop can be caught and fined.
Good idea?

How's the human DNA going to be found in the dog poo DNA?
I agree though - people who don't pick up after their dogs are totally ignorant!

when I lived in Leicester I posted it through a guys letter box. I bloody waited I put a sign on my window sill and he still did it so I stuck it in a bag and put it through his door.

Insanely expensive and whos going to fund the dog dna database?
Youd need to also register each dogs dna to an owner and an adress effectively a dog license which may not be a bad thing |

I moved 2 years ago, the garden gate was broken and I couldn't afford to fix it. I had it replaced this week. In all that time there was shit on my garden everyday (not from my or her hounds), the culprit was caught by accident about a month ago when mum called unexpectedly for us and saw it crapping then watched it go back home - to my neighbours best friends house, I told her - she went ballistic at her friend and the dogs not been off her garden since. No excuse. We've got 9 dogs and every coat I own and pair of Trousers has bags in them. Disgusting. Steps off soap box |

The initial dog dna testing is free for the first 100 then £30 I believe. This puts your dog 's details in a database.
I want to know when the CAT dna fingerprinting begins as my garden is used as the local litterbox. |

This is something that really annoys me. I have a dog and I always pick it up. It's not something I find offputting either, you have to do it so often that it doesn't bother you. I'm not squeamish about smells, feeling the poo through the bag etc.
If you have a dog it's just an extension of that. Cannot understand people who won't pick up. |
