"London is hard work. Even people less than 10 miles away can take over an hour to get to. Just saying! " Easy solution - contact them 2 hours before you expect them, then what with travel and all, they'll be on time
"London is hard work. Even people less than 10 miles away can take over an hour to get to. Just saying! " So just pick and plan your meets better #JustSaying

"Yes but there are also loads more people so it really balances out...." I work in London and live 20mins outside. I've never met a Londoner Totally elusive.
"Yes but there are also loads more people so it really balances out...." No it don't, even tho it is a city it is not "fab" active, if you see who many are online in here in London, it is only few lol.

" to this thread. I really don't get the issue with traveling a bit. When I lived in Brooklyn it used to take me 3 hours each way on the subway to visit my friend in the Bronx. I did it regularly. Getting to high school took me almost 2 hours each way. Grab a book, get on the tube, and enjoy the ride. -Courtney" Family and life get in the way of traveling. If i get 4 hours spare in an evening to meet i don't want to spend most of it traveling.
"I must live in the swinging epicentre of London. There are three clubs for me to choose from and all within a 30 minute drive" The last meet I had in London was with someone from Southend, we met half way, it would have been quicker and less stressful to drive all the way to hers. Birmingham is almost as easy to travel to than East London.
"I'm stuck all the way up here in the Midlands but London is only an hour of the train Slight chance I'll be there next week" oh really hmmm

Plus the walk or bus from the station.

"I must live in the swinging epicentre of London. There are three clubs for me to choose from and all within a 30 minute drive" We don't think too much of travelling to a good club or party at a regular venue. When I met men alone, I would travel within an hour. I was new to London, so it was all an adventure. Now I prefer to meet in clubs anyway. Circumstances change, and career, family and relationship take up the majority of my time now ....
"I stay in Vauxhall, turn on my 'who's near', and there's 100s of single men within a mile. I live in York, turn on my 'who's near', and there's about 10. I like London "

But then again, I only ever travel for such 'activities' on a Friday or Saturday evening AbFab is 14 miles away and takes 30 minutes

Generally, though, I still personally don't mind traveling around a city myself.

"I LOVE London I'm considering moving back . I miss the public transport immensely. I hate that anywhere i go now involves sitting behind a tractor for hours on end!" Don,t you ever get that Rural feeling.. If ever going up into the peak district our trans peak bus drivers any tractors get in front of them they soon get passed them only to Get caught by another later, but luckily for me I don,t rely on transport 90% of the time but can do it on foot Instead which is a godsend, Thou I feel for people who rely always daily on transport.

"London is hard work. Even people less than 10 miles away can take over an hour to get to. Just saying! " My other half locked the French doors into the kitchen and instead of leaving it in the lock put it in his pocket before going to work. I come home can't get into the kitchen. Phone him he's on a job two miles away: took him 45 minutes. Took him that long again getting back. Poor sod finally came home at 11!
"I'm meeting a women from London Saturday, she said it will take 3 hours to get here, just saying." Took me over four hours to get to Liverpool. That said, 90 minutes was getting from south east London to north London (Euston!)
