My wife and I have the LG G4 and we love it, nice large screen, expendable memory and a replaceable battery.
My sister has a Samsung galaxy S6 edge and hates it, says it crashes all the time, and as its a sealed unit, you can't even pull the battery. She has had it about 6 months and filled the memory already, and cant expand it as you can't add memory cards. |

I used to have the Galaxy s1 till I broke the screen, got it fixed and broke it again the following day. I then got the galaxy s3 and broke the screen. I then got that fixed and put it in an otterbox armour case. I then upgraded to the Galaxy s5 and that's an awesome phone. It up for renewal the end of the year so shall see what the Galaxy s7 is like if it comes out this year. If it doesn't suit me then I may well get another s5. I will then have a lower tarif as the phone will be a couple of years old |

Samsung s6 all the way! My last 4 phones have been samsung and i wont ever have another iphone when i had the first original galaxy i managed to run it over in the van and being as i had a screen protector the screen was intact and still worked for another 6 months  |

I am similar with a z5 compact. All I would say I'd get at least 16gb of internal memory. Ideally 32gb. Any android phone with 8gb does not work.

Just install a custom firmware without all the bloatware on it |

I've been a Samsung user since the pre smartphone days.
When I killed my phone in November - just 4 months before my upgrade, I decided to just get something cheap off amazon and got a thl t6c for £40 and amazingly can't really notice any performance difference to the £500 Samsung!
Saying that I'll be getting a new Samsung in 8 days... |

We both have the s5, wouldn't go with any other brand. Mrs has the s3 before and wanted to upgrade, and Mr had the s4, bit smaller than the s5 but I love it! Battery is lasting and so far *knock on wood* we've not broken them |
