Did you find out things before Google.. ?

There are somethings that folk say and expression s that folk use that I've not heard before ,(yep I'm innocent and naive)

Ask people who may know the answer, failing that was alway up the library before I ever had internet.

Mad isn't it, google is now the brain we never had before!

Encyclopedias and reference sections in the local libraries. Oh hell, I'm that old and even remember looking at articles on microfiche

My dad had an ancient set of alphabetised encyclopaedias!

Hands up who had the encyclopaedia Britannica in their home as a kid!

Once upon a time there used to be magical buildings called libraries that people could go to in order to find things out, spent a lot of time in them but have never been sure whether or not I ever learned anything

Learnt lots from the EB...

It was my grandparents version though, so was a bit old and out of date...

I just did it this morning. Someone posted a pic of their bird bath with an icicle going upwards... I wanted to know how that happens so I emailed my Mum to ask Dad and he rang me and told me.
