A hetrosexual couple are making a legal challenge against being unable to have a civil partnership.
Are hetrosexuals being discriminated against or is it a storm in a teacup?
I quite like the idea of a civil partnership between a man and a women giving a choice of legally partnering without the traditional patriachy of a formal marriage, and don't see any reason why they shouldn't be able to now that homosexual couples can legally marry.

Biggest one is the vows. Married couples also have different laws supporting them (written before civil partnership became a thing). |

that really doesn't answer the question. how exactly do the vows and legal satus differ betwixt the two? |

Yeah I agree, have the option of marriage available to same sex couples and civil partnerships for heterosexual couples, and people can just do what's right for them and their relationship. |

It is simple, no one person or couple should be prevented from a legal course of action because of their sexuality or the sex mix of their partnership.
Therefore as the law stands, it discriminates against mixed sex couples.
Discrimination of that nature is wrong. Therefore it should stop. |
