"Get the cheapest, they rarely pay out anyway."
My parents fell in Cyprus. They paid a fair bit, but Aviva covered 3 weeks extra stay (mum in hospital and dad in 5 star hotel), as well as food and taxis to and from hospital for dad.
I've never had to claim, luckily, but I'd use them if I thought I'd be high risk. |

Oh and also check the amount they pay out for lost luggage - our daughters case got lost and when we actually added up everything that was in there, it no where near covered it |

Fair enough but for every good report there's ten bad ones. See 'rip off Britain' |

"Free with your bank ............ Banks never give you anything for free . You pay somewhere along the line . "
Yes - you pay in opportunity cost
I'd you get little interest on money
So they give you insurance as a perk in exchange for a rate of return |

Well of course - but for me the monthly cost of the account is less than the cost of the breakdown cover and travel insurance for 2 or 3 trips a year that I get with it.
So it works out well. |

Agree with the Aviva vote. As an insurance broker they have one of the better reputations in respect of travel insurance. |

Interesting. I haven't thought about it since I left. I still go back on holiday and I'm not covered under insurance over there anymore.
I guess I just live on the wild side.

I always compare, as one supplier is unlikely to offer the needed cover, at the best price for everyone.
And consider taking annual policy cover too, not per trip.
Cash back sites may pay out for using one of the insurance providers linked to them too. |
