I've just had a bird on my nuts.
Actually it was a nuthatch on the bag of nuts I hang out of my office window.
I can sit and watch birds for hours.
Does anybody else enjoy feeding the birds, any unusual visitors to report. |

"We love to- seeds, nuts and fat balls are everywhere in our garden. just hoping the green parrots don't find them. "
Parakeets are now classed as a British bird, I think they look great.

I know fish can process ammonia, but I surely it can't be good for them, what about birds and other animals drinking from the pond.
With you about cats though. |

Yes we have a wide variety of birds visiting our garden.. We have had as many as 30 species in a day (we live on the edge of woodland). We spend lots of time watching them all. |

" I used to but now people either side of me feed the birds and overtime they have found other food sources, so you don,t see them so much, Birds are usually quite organised and like to associate especially the tit family in mixed flocks and a big part of the time our Winters are mild which helps the birds Out, I was given the link to a web site with web cam in czechosovakia which shows birds feeding on food put out for them in a wildlife sanctuary, somewhere out in the wilds, I,d send you the web address privately if I could but sending web addresses is 24 or 48 hr ban off site.. If you look about useing your google engine you should find it, thee other wildlife you can see is animals being cared for Apart from a grey heron which can fly, There was a hawfinch one day came down Beautiful views. |
