Service Refusal

Service refusal is a common occurrence for me as it is for other Guide Dog owner. I got refused entry yesterday and as usual stood my ground, asked for manager etc. A couple of people argued on my behalf too ( I didn't know them). So the question do you stand your ground if you know it's the right thing to do & would you stand up for someone else.

P.S got let I and manager wouldn't let me pay for food or drink as an apology

Somethings are worth standing your ground for, it's a lot easier when you have people supporting you too.

Definitely.

I've stood my ground on numerous occasions and I've berated people for tutting at kids with autism and Down's syndrome.

At the end of the day, they have just as much right to be in the same places as I do and I think it's great when parents get the chance to take their kids out, especially when they have disabilities.

I hate narrow minded fools and I have no time for them.

Good on ya xx the law states that harnessed guide dogs are allowed to enter any public place including all food places and on all public transport.

If you are refused entry you can sue them. Xxx

If I know I'm in the right, of course I'll stand my ground. I have stood up for others in the past, although it wasn't appreciated once when an old dear turned round and told me in no uncertain terms, "It's alright, I can fight my own battles thank you very much"

why on earth would it be easier for z female to say nothing.

I'm sorry but I cannot see what is embarrassing about having a genuine issue with something and wanting it put right.

pH so you weren't referring to women in general?

Sorry I misread the thread I thought it was about standing your ground in general and you used your example as where you had to stand your ground. I didn't read it as a thread for people with service dogs

I can understand that. My father is partially sighted and won't bring attention to it through embarrassment. He came home with a DVD from the library because instead of taking him to where the talking books were the librarian just pointed and he was too embarrassed to tell her he couldn't differentiate
