Is that a different place to Middlesbrough?
It usually figures in these things. I think the people play it up so they don't get southerners visiting. When they do, they take them in via all the worst parts, especially on the train, to put them off moving up. Only the ones who pass the friendly test are allowed to stay, you know? You must have failed the test quite badly to have been banished that far away.
Southampton isn't all that, by the way.

1 - London
2 - Bradford
3 - Chipping Norton
4 - Southampton

6 - Gibraltar
7 - Coventry
8 - Nuneaton
9 - High Wycombe
10 - Stoke-on-Trent
No Middlesbrough, Southampton above Coventry. Hmmm.
Mind you, these things are rubbish, as evidenced by York being on the list. It's a wonderful place! Perhaps the survey was taken during a flood.
I love London to visit, but I always think it's an awful place to live in. |

We moved to a small town 8 years ago and yeah there's a 'village mentality' but we don't get involved, as long as we're not bringing up our daughter in London were happy, I mean there's actual farms and stuff here!  |

Slough gets my vote. Lived in Bognor for years now live in Slough and go to Jaywick every year for a weekend with the family does that make me the devil or an arsehole lol |
