Not something the UK really has a big hand in but in China it's considered an art / skill to save such an idiotic animal.
They have been around quite an astonishing length of time though. The Chinese once tried to use them as war animals, like the Persians did Elephants. That didn't work out so well. |

They are silly animals, of course, like Koalas. Trying to survive on a diet with little nutrition.
But they are darned cute, Soxy, and I just know that you posted this out of mischief.
So, I will vote for open hunting season for cute rugs. |

My attempts at applying mascara invariably result in failure and a mountain of used tissues.... |

But what if we could breed them as a food source ...
I mean they are quite plump so they would be quite easy to harvest and would provide an ample amount of meet and the pelts could be used for making up-market onesies..... |

Grizzlys and polar bears fuck, to produce grolars or pizzlys, depending on which species the father is. I'm sure another bear species would be up to the task of boning a female panda, if the males aren't interested. At least species would be saved in part, even if it means yogi has to back scuttle her while she has her nose in a bowl of bamboo |

You really are scraping the bottom now. Really, apart from looking cute and destroying bamboo (which, ecologically, is probably a threat to s or some strange flora), pandas don't really serve any purpose.
I would class them in the same category as humans, really, only perhaps a little less destructive and much cuter.
So, for now, I will declare closed season on pandas and open season on humans. Can you train pandas to use a rifle or is it not in their nature?

There is, of course, an underground rumour that Mr Titchmarsh prodded the queen. I would dismiss it as bad grace. And because I really don't want to think about it.
Nevertheless, I am sure if he was nurturing a bamboo tree or two, he would not be averse to prodding a few of those cute panda vandals. |

On a slightly tree hugging serious note, I find it rather harsh to read lines such as stupid dumb animals, just let them die out!
No they're not going to reinvent the wheel but mankind has apparently been responsible for many species being endangered. As such I believe we have a moral obligation to save them. Who are we to simply say let them die out? He'll were so busy trying to kill each other it may occupy us with something else to do? |
