After cleaning my house today in anticipation for a meet. I now find myself chocking on the sent lavender and camomile washing powder and what ever scent ambipur is pumping out (air freshener)

so my question is do people real like this artificial scented stuff or is good old fresh air enough

I like candles and subtle diffusers. Not Air Wick or any of those things.

Sorry hate artificial air fresheners, they cause me breathing problems. So it has to be fresh air for me I am affraid.

Air fresheners give me a sore throat and nose, I hate them. I like fresh air and subtle scented candles or essential oils.

Fresh air is my favourite

But sometimes it's not possible, like with the cold now.

I can't stand smelly air fresheners. I like the Neutradol ones that take any smells away without giving out scent.

I love scented candles though

I'm very wary of air fresheners, so would ventilate and clean instead.

Our bodies absorb an ongoing assault of synthetic muck every day. Some is likely to remain within us forever.

Squirty air freshener out of an aerosol also catches my throat and even if no one has been for a shit, makes the house smell like someone has been for a shit and is attempting to cover it up.

But I like good quality room fragrance, the reed diffuser types. Sometimes you get what you pay for, the cheap ones give me a headache

They are not air fresheners; just 'masking agents' to hide unwanted smells.

Just clever marketing to sell what is completely unnecessary

I really like my candles had some lovely ones I bought when I was away in the summer but I'm on my last one now and I like them in the bedroom. I don't like to buy them online I like to smell them first. I like to get different ones when I'm away
