I know some don't like it but for those that do what do you use it for.
Is hours just a very small account or do you have hundreds of friends. Do you use it everyday or or just occasionally.
I only really started an account less than a year ago and its great for the way i do things but i hear so many negative things about it.

I don't have loads of friends on there, about 60, but they are all people I know, either family, school friends, ex work colleagues or people I work with now and other random people I've got to know through my son etc.

I have lots of "friends" on there - I'm from a huge family spread all over so we keep in touch that way as far easier. Also when expecting my youngest I joined BabyCentre so have about 80 ladies from there I keep in touch with. Then there are genuine friends, a few selected work colleagues & a couple of fab friends.
Since joining here I've found I use FB far less |

When I first joined I loved it, reconnected with long lost school friends etc.
But now the news feed does my head in. Every frickin thing that a friend 'likes' or comments on ends up on there.
So if a friend likes a pic of someone I don't know or have absolutely no interest in, it's bloody there on my news feed.
And I have no idea of or how you can turn off stuff that people have simply liked appearing ...
Does my head in, hardly ever on there now |

I use Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family all around the world and I'm also a member of a few Alfa Romeo Owners groups.
I also have a small business page on there and get quite a lot of business from it. |

I have it...mainly just a few friends and work people.
I go on once a day perhaps, decide it's a bit boring on there and come off..
Occasionally I comment on something or other but that's about it..
I go through phases of using it a little more or occasionally just shut it down altogether for a wee bit..
Its totally mood dependant really.
sometimes it's so so...sometimes it's crap

Simple - you unfollow them.
I have friends and contacts all over the world and through my music, so I use it to keep in touch with them.
Anyone who posts pics of their lunch/pets/or tells me when they've checked in to Tesco, gets unfollowed.
When you get over a certain number of friends, another feature - Ticker Tape , kicks in. People you interact with less frequently appear in a ticker tape feed on a side bar, rather than in your timeline. |

The best thing I've found is I'm back in touch with some friends from years ago who we lost contact with simply through moving and general life.
I maybe have about 60 friends but they are all people I know well I also have my sons g/f family on somwe can liase about things.
But I think apart from the friends side of it I use it more like a local radio station, things that are going of locally, pets missing, items for sale that sort of thing.
The funniest is when you log on and someome has bloody put old school photos and tagged you don't even really remember us taking photos that much.
One friend put a photo on and I recognized a "hidious dress" the photo doesn't even look like me but I remember the bloody dress |

You can unfollow them so if you want to see what they're doing you go through your friends list to their page instead. I do this for my younger family who post utter crap |

I only use fb to keep in touch with people. And its easier to know when they have birthdays.
Rarely post anything on it.
On the plus side I did manage to rent my house out twice just through Facebook. Saved me a fortune in letting agent fees. And it means that I have had a lot more control over who is in my house as I can Facebook stalk them first (good when advertising for non smoking/no pets..had someone show interest and hey presto...alsatians and cigs in pictures) |

Oh and I do like to see pictures of peoples babies and holidays as they are close friends I'm interested. One friend has just gone to Australia for 56 days and is keeping a blog.
The one thing I don't like is finding out someone you know has died through it

I might have to do this! Yeah it's all the family and friends and in particular Neices and nephews that like absolute bobbins! It's a shame you can't just select 'don't show likes..' Ah well ... |

I play games on there, read messages from family and that's about it. We use it to share family gathering pics as it's easier to upload the lot and let people take what they want. I have just over 100 friends I think. I've met them all barring a handful of people I met through a Facebook app,all normal people like me. |

I use it every day for keeping in touch with friends / family. I'm a member of a few groups so we 'chat' on there too, a bit like here but less rude
It's a great way to see what everyone is upto in one hit, share photos of events, organise nights out.
When I get fed up with the forums in here, I'm on FB more.
