Please read!!!!!

Back on January 9th, a group of HELLS ANGELS, South Carolina bikers were riding east on 378 when they saw a girl about to jump off the Pee Dee River Bridge. So they stopped.

George, their leader, a big burly man of 53, gets off his Harley, walks through a group of gawkers, past the State Trooper who was trying to talk her down off the railing, and says,

"Hey Baby . . . whatcha doin' up there on that railin'?"

She says tearfully, "I'm going to commit suicide!!"

While he didn't want to appear "sensitive," George also didn't want to miss this "be-a-legend" opportunity either so he asked . . . "Well, before you jump, Honey-Babe . . .

why don't you give ol' George here your best last kiss?"

So, with no hesitation at all, she leaned back over the railing and did just that . . .

and it was a long, deep, lingering kiss followed immediately by another even better one.

After they breathlessly finished, George gets a big thumbs-up approval from his biker-buddies, the onlookers, and even the State Trooper, and then says, "Wow! That was the best kiss I have ever had! That's a real talent you're wasting there, Sugar Shorts. You could be famous if you rode with me. Why are you committing suicide?"

"My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl."

It's still unclear whether she jumped or was pushed.

Sorry folks I laughed so inappropriate hard at this I had to share it.

Jokes often offend people. It is what it is.

Tosh from the TV show Tosh.O (dunno if they have it in the UK?) got shit for a rape joke once. A lot of shit. He is still a wildly successful comedian.

It's in the nature of some comedy to be offensive. Are people suprised by this in 2016?

I am surprised that so many sympathise with the biker.

The TV guy was obviously very convincing as a woman as the biker was totally fooled. The biker's violent actions suggest he cannot cope with the "embarrassment" of kissing a man who looks like a real woman.

I saw the joke was on the biker although it is sad the TV guy could not reconcile with his parents his sexuality.

I will speak out about posts or jokes that are derogatory about women BUT not about jokes with women in them.

Subtle difference.

It dehumanises suicide for transgender people and at the same time, encourages murder of transgender get people

Would be similar if there was a joke about fat people which ends with, "they do have some use as one feed them to more lions per day than a normal person"

Ok, not the funniest joke I admit but! FFS people where has all this "offence" come from - it's a satirical joke about a 'so say' masculine biker being duped by a man in a dress! That's all it is a joke!

You know I find it's always best if you're able to laugh at yourselves! And for a tolerant community there's a lot of intolerance to a simple joke on here!

There are many jokes about suicide, even in cartoons....

No one would laugh at a real suicide.

If it's dehumanising to tell suicide jokes then it follows that it's dehumanising for all humans regardless of their sexuality.

People are railing without reason.

I still can't see it as an anti trans joke because I see the joke as falling plainly on the homophobe.. no one else.

Pushing the TV to his death because the biker was fooled gives the impression that the TV got what he bargained for

"I see the joke as falling plainly on the homophobe.. no one else. "

... What's the "joke"? That he got "fooled" into kissing a trans person? Again, that is implying that kissing a trans woman is somehow shameful, that a trans woman is "not really" a woman.

That is literally the definition of transphobia.

There is no "joke" that is on the biker here. Nothing bad has befallen him. The entirety of the laugh is based on transphobia.

It annoys me how the Hells Angels are portrayed in such a negative way. All though a friend of mine (male) was at the bulldog bash with his long blond hair. When he heard an "alright darling" behind him and a hand on his ass. When he turned around, the Angel realised his mistake and promptly broke my mates nose!

I thought it was funny when I got as far as "My parents don't like me dressing up like a girl." which would have been a far more appropriate punchline than "It's still unclear whether she jumped or was pushed." which doesn't actually add to the joke and turns the punchline in to something far darker and not at all funny

"Funny how the same joke was posted a few weeks ago on here all be it worded slightly different and it got NO negative comments.

Often it is who posts it, if they are a well known forumite. The initial responses can take it a certain way and then, if it is cool to be collectively outraged. "

Then again some jokes can be used as a social comment

I took the final line , not to be so much of a joke more a direct comment on the very real, existent ignorant over reaction too many men in the world would exhibit ?

I don't see how? Its TRANSPHOBIC not homophobic, and there is NO WAY it could be anti anything. If the HA had jumped, it would still be transphobic as the percieved fear and ridicule would have led to HIS jumping.

It is a really really destructive 'joke' - things like this actually happen.

And I know this is 'du jour' however, it just smacks of a) transphobia and b) privilege

How?! Maybe you can answer my post that wasn't answered previously:

No one is laughing at the biker.

The entirety of the laugh is based on transphobia.

"Jokes often offend people. It is what it is.

Tosh from the TV show Tosh.O (dunno if they have it in the UK?) got shit for a rape joke once. A lot of shit. He is still a wildly successful comedian.

It's in the nature of some comedy to be offensive. Are people suprised by this in 2016?

-Courtney

One well known comedian I've seen doing stand up has material that would be considered by some people to be majorly offensive. The reaction of the audience? It is a mixture of out loud belly laughter, stifled giggles, shock & squirming in their chairs.

not too sure what point I'm trying to make but thought it was valid in this context!

Does he also do jokes about Jewish people and the gas chambers? Or about Black people in Southern US and the KKK?

Those too will get some stifled giggles"

The comedian I was talking about does, yes. His comedy is based almost entirely on being offensive. And I watch his show regularly. Humor is often contextual. Try watching Tosh.O sometime and see what you think.

He might make fun of the Jewish people based on one or the other characteristic but I bet the joke doesn't go along the lines of, "them being thrifty, they would be the first ones to applaud at the efficiency of the gas chambers"

I will watch this person on the internet sometime but if this is what he and his audience consider humorous, then it is a rather sad day

The joke was funny until the second last line. It made me laugh. The last line did not make it funnier. It only made it frightening. What is even more frightening are the people who feel that the transperson committing suicide or that the biker killing the transperson is funny.

privilege...or

You must be lucky. I have had death threats and been attacked in the street just for being trans. And I "pass"

Trans murder and suicide is not a joking a matter.

A guy is pumping away hard and 'mid-stroke' he notices a framed photograph of a man on her beside table. He stops scared and says to her, "you didn't tell me that you were married"

She: "I am not"

He: "So is that your boyfriend?"

She: "I don't have a boyfriend"

He: "Brother?"

She: "No, I only have a sister"

He: "That can't be your son; you are too young to have a son that old. Who is he?"

She: "That is me, ofcourse, silly; before the op"

One can make jokes about transgender people. But just as one doesn't have to kill the fat lady as a punchline, neither does one need to do with transgender jokes

PS. Loads more on the Internet
