Because that's a persons preference. People know what they like.

It's just a display of preference only in a different area.
There are so many people on here to pick from that people need to set their goals somehow.
If you accept that you won't be everyone's cup of tea for some reason or other and just concentrate on the people who's preferences you do fit and who's fit yours then your time here will go much easier

People have a right to chose the age group they want to meet...can't argue with it at any level. The only frustrating one I see sometimes...(im 50) is women or couples seeking older guys..then put the lower age as 52 or 55..and I'm too young...!!!! 50 and too young...love it..let's face it..I'm wearing OK but I am an older guy..lol. |

I agree. It's a stereotype it's possibly an unfair and lazy one but poorly constructed messages and text speak are a huge turn off for many for exactly the reason you say. And it is more prevelant in younger people |

Text speak in texts is just about tolerable when it's a super short message even though it's annoying but it's really does just make you look lazy and uneducated in a profile.
