Corrupt, inept or the man to clear up athletics?
Only yesterday he said there were no cover ups, today he admits there were.
Is he any better than Sepp Blatter and other delegitimised sporting politicians?
Or is he getting a bit of a easy ride because he's British?
It sure is a mess. |

Would like to think he genuinely didn't know what was going on, but suspect he maybe up to his ears in the doggy do do. One has to question with he was complicit or incompetent, not a particularly good outcome either way. |

agreed, he doesn't come out of it well at all, he was on the committee and the WADA report states they must have known what was going on..?
smells iffy..

"He kinda seems unqualified for the position. Being a famous sports person doesn't make him good at politics. "
You do realise that he was an elected member of parliament? |

He did not say there were no cover ups...he said he had not been aware of them. (Which may be a little far fetched?) but this is not the same thing.
I was at University with him in Loughborough....he was actually an OK guy (he was studying geography) |

Being an elected member of Parliament doesn't make anyone good at politics, either.
In fact he was an averagely crap MP |

"I don't think he is complicit in what has been going on but that does point to him not giving his full attention to his job.
"
Well he is either complicit ( in which case he should be sacked)
Or incompetent for not knowing ( in which case he should be sacked)

Yes, I do. I still don't think his background is good enough. I wouldn't have voted for him. |

Most sports have a major drug problem. A lot of people are willfully ignorant of performance enhancing drugs because it's in everyone's interests to turn a blind eye.
Nobody wants to watch slower, weaker, smaller athletes this year. Hence the incentives to catch drug cheats aren't there.
I tell thee, if 4th place in a race was on drugs then 1st, 2nd and 3rd also were. Biology 101. |

sepp and fifa are soooo last year!
It's seb and IAAF.
I've got this sneaky feeling... If you actually look into any organisation that has great power... You'll find corruption!
And he's just broke the new world record in 9.11... Yeah whatever |

I suggest you look at coe during his running years... Not much difference.
Micheal platinum, sepp Blatter, seb coe, lance Armstrong,
All seen as model competitor's and all highly regarded!.
If there's one truth in life, it's that nobody is uncorruptible!.
The only thing you can do, is set your organisation in such away to mitigate it as much as possible |
