I've seen this loads of time here, a member asks a question, then it will be followed by 20+ people all giving the same answer, have you been one of them who has seen the answer already given but thought, they may not see that so I'll answer also, but give it my own personal spin of course. |

Sometimes I don't have time to read the whole thread. Sometimes someone nips in quick while I'm typing slowly, choosing le bon mot, and correcting my many fat-finger mistakes.
(Apologies if anyone else has said this already in the meantime.)
Besides, is there 'an' answer, sometimes having a dozen or so people saying the same thing helps.

It's usually worth copying and pasting one just to get a thread closed.
Seriously I can jump in with an answer, not having read all of the replies, so can waste my efforts, such as when the op declares they no longer have that issue etc. There's not always time to read all 150 replies either. |

I've answered a question, then read the whole thread and seen it's been answered 20 times. |

Besides, it's not as bad as discovering that the mods have already closed a thread before you've thought of a witty response, and you can't remember what Granny's orphan thread was called....
