I often find myself getting into bed and then some bright idea pops into my head or I want the answer to a question.
Right now I'm searching for Queen Anne style furniture that I can restore.
It seems my brain gets really active once I get into bed, even after a night like tonight where ive sat downstairs read for a while with the pup laid upside down asleep on my legs
Anyone else have this happen? Random things like how does the water inside a coconut get there and you can't sleep until you have the answer... |

The most satisfying things ever.....
Having an ear worm all day and not being able to remember the song or who sang it.
The relief when you remember after being in bed for 10 minutes! |

I'm awake now due to crossing time zones but shouldn't be online as the electric light is terrible for our body clock.
In general if I had the op's habit I'd overcome it by training myself. I certainly wouldn't make it a stronger habit by repeating it.
It's feasible to quiet your mind and a healthy habit. Try yoga, meditation or self hypnosis.
