Had a meet arranged and hotel booked. Today is the day of the meet, I message asking for number to give details of hotel we are meeting at. No reply to message, although the person has been online and read it. It's unfortunate that this happens.
Back to searching...
In the meantime, need something to do now the football has finished for the night. |

"Go on the who's near and have a look, watch tv, chat on here, have a wank, sleep??"
All have crossed my mind, my who's near seems to be showing all those recently online, which is a shame. How is your forum search tonight? |

"Perhaps they googled your username?
I'm not sure what that would achieve to be honest. "
They'd see what psychotic means.
Havevto say this is all about confidence in strangers. Using the word psychotic would not be an advertising man's recommendation. |

Watchbout psycho. The mods don't like discussion of private messages. You might get ''time outed' |

I had a similar experience Monday night. Texted the guy to say, "I'm on my way".
He replied, "so am I".
I arrived and messaged to say, I'm in the car park..
30 minutes later, still no reply to messages, log onto fab to discover he has gone UNLOS.
Why say you're on your way when you have no intention of turning up? I was not a happy tigger x |

Yeah it's rather irritating. I didn't quite get to the actual meeting stage, but arranging it and then trying to finalise is bad enough. Ah well onwards and upwards as they say. |

Yes, that was my initial thought. I'll wait until tomorrow for a reason. In none arrives it will be the first, and hopefully one of only few, block button uses |

"Not getting a number till after touve booked the hotel and the day of the meet seems a bit silly"
It was a little silly, I'll admit, but having spoken through other means for a few days, it seemed as if it was a meet that was definitely happening. |

"There's so many messers on here had my belly full of them . Had one guy pretend he was a lady n then laughed at me n told me he was a guy like what did he get out of that . "
I don't understand why people would do it. There's no benefit from doing such things. Only causing irritations to other people that they don't really experience. |

Did you not chat on the phone first? There are so many timewasters on here I think it's important to establish a real connection as you just don't know who you're dealing with! Sorry you were let down OP. |

Not on a phone call. Through similar means. Not sure if I can mention other apps or messaging in the forums, may get a time out.
I guess these things do happen sometimes, unfortunately. |

I appreciate your input. I understand kik can be faked. Even snapchat has that possibility too. As previously stated, a valuable lesson learned, steps from now will be taken with further care.
I am hoping to get to club socials when my work schedule allows. |

Don't invest anything whether that's time or money until you know the person is who they are claiming to be. Keep contact light and breezy till you've had a social and seen them in the flesh. |

"Having said the above, she was asking for a rather firm handling during our proposed meet, throughout our correspondence."
There's a current thread about meeting for sex without a social. I play rough, and I wouldn't expect a man to meet me without being comfortable in my company. Therefore, as a man, if a woman says she wants rough handling from a stranger it's probably fantasy and she's unlikely to turn up. |

I take it op that you didn't pay for the hotel and have just lost the time that you set aside, that you could have done something different with.
Consider just meeting socially first and only with users who are verified. I'm happy to verify you if we meet but your profile is a bit unclear upon your location.
You'll improve your abilities to out the unsuitable as you're here longer.
Good luck! |

I've since read some of the thread. Yes, it's possible she never intended to meet up. I don't think I will receive a message explaining her hesitance on meeting, either. |

Unfortunately there are dipsticks amongst the nice people! That's crap though tigs - and sorry your first meet didn't happen OP! Word of advice though - don't fork out for a hotel until you've had a social or at the very least a phone conversation confirming things! Xx |

No money lost on the hotel. The time lost itself isn't the irritation. It's the lack of explanation but I digress. Yes, that will be the initial aim from now on.
My location is Suffolk.
Experience is what improves your time here as it would appear. |

good advice, always swap phone numbers first and have a chat on the phone before booking any hotel should be a basic minimum precaution. |
