When we chat to other couple's we are not the type who say hi how are you ?,
We usually write a short novel when chatting lol, so do you prefer those who contact you can hold a conversation rather than a few short words ? |

I tend to play it the way I would if I was to approach someone in a pub or club, start of with a hi how are and a basic introduction then depending on the response take it from there. I don't really understand the profiles that say hi how are you get no reply, surely that's what's know as an ice breaker lol |

I agree.. A too-long first message can come across as being too intense. A short ice-breaker is good and if they've got a bit of detail about you from your profile, and they like you, they'll respond (hopefully) and then you can get into longer conversational messages.. |

Mentioning something from the profile is always good and gets the attention as it means you've taken the time to read. I've seen a lot of 'suk me now' first messages which safe to say don't get very far x |

I like to say hi how are you as an ice breaker . At least when its short and to the point your not getting your head baffled or waffled with potential lies and half hearted promises right ? |

"Conversation all the way Just gets frustrating when its just 1 or 2 words."
This. Just looks like they can't be arsed and trying to have a conversation with the 2 or 3 word repliers is often like trying to get blood out of a stone. |

I'm not the best for chatting online. I'm generally on my phone which can be a faff and if I'm interested in meeting then I want to meet not chat!
Thing is that in person I'm very chatty, just not online. |

It's okay when you have a hangover. |
