Talking to my fb's earlier today about bowie, lemmy and stewpot, when I mentioned I'd listened to Ed Stewart on Christmas day morning. And he was part of my childhood listening to songs such as puff the magic dragon, champion the wonderhorse and the theme tune to white horses, plus many others. I also mentioned my first record was 'my boomerang won't come back' by Charlie Drake.

This caused me to get a funny look from Scott. And although not on my listening list these days and many on here probably wouldn't remember them, but I can't be the only one surely?

Opening myself up here for abuse, I'm sure!

And we won't even mention Mr Ben or captain pugwash!

I listened to the same programme, I was sat at the beach watching the waves and Puff the Magic Dragon came on, it was lovely

He sounded so frail presenting it.
