It's so sad that David Bowie died after battling cancer for 18 months. I remember singing and dancing talent his song Magic Dance in the movie Labyrinth when I was a little kid.
RIP David Bowie. You will be greatly missed and remembered always |

Bowie stood out as a leader of a creative period and remained so even when music scene stood still.
He was a master of outside the box invention. Artist Icon and Rebel his music and image will remain. Lost the battle won the war of life!! |

The soundtrack of my youth had many contributors but David Bowie was the one who influenced everything. While others came and went he was the continuous thread. "We can be hero's" Yes you were mine. God bless David. |

not my favourite singer but I can understand why people love him... The big C, shame, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy...
I wonder how they are going to tell his ex wife in CBB, assuming they will?? |

I'm still in shock... the only time I've ever cried over a celebrity's death since Robin Williams died.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
He was an artist willing to take risks. He never appeared to let his failures hold him back and I found that admirable and inspirational.
I had the Ziggy poster up on my wall when I was 8 and I've had a thing for eclectic, eccentric, musical slightly emaciated white men since then.
A very sad day.

My dad is on nights, he was told with a cup of tea at 5pm. He didn't believe my Stepmum. He doesn't do celebrity but absolutely adored David Bowie, so much so my real name is Bowie inspired, & he at 59 is genuinely upset. Made harder by the surprise delivery today of his new album in clear vinyl which is already being re-sold on on Internet selling sites for ridiculous amounts. |

"Just heard he had died !!!"
I never considered myself a true fan, although I like most of his music, but today I feel a deep sadness for the passing of someone great. It has really effected me, and brought back many memories of teenage years. Thanks for the memories David. You live on in your music. |

I heard on my way to the station this morning and was in tears. I;ve shed a few more during the day thanks to various tributes I've seen. The fact that the video for Lazarus was filmed as a farewell is heartbreaking |

I saw it for the first time earlier this evening. It felt like he was accepting and at peace about this the most change in life. Very moving.

His new CD I bet people will be reading all- sorts into that and maybe it was how he wished it to be . At times we never know what we have lost until its gone and I bet that's how it will be with him . |

There aren't many artists with such vision, some individual style, unique, evolving and developing the music and the image, influential to many.
An amazing talent and a huge loss |
