Had a fun day helping my mate install the window in his loft, a first time for both of us, not quite as easy as it looks on the video, but we got it done

Anyone else fitted one, if so how did it go ?

Did one a few years ago as a first time diy effort. Dead easy to make a nice hole in the roof, then read instructions and realised that a separate sealing gasket was required. It was Sunday so nowhere open. Bugger! Made one out of dpc. Not leaked yet and lots cheaper than buying one branded by velux.

London and France

Easy;

Point at roof;

Tell builder " put a velux there"

Go out for the day.

In return, check it works OK

Give builder money

Sit down with glass of wine and view the sky through new velux.

Job done

Just done 2 in the loft conversion.... 1st one took a while as we found it a little tricky at first.

3 more to go in the annex, I'm hoping one day to fit them!

the bit that gave us a little bit of trouble, was we made it a little bit to tight a fit, so struggled to get the frame in once we folded the felt around the rafter,i think if we did it again we would do it a lot quicker
