I like wearing shorts but mine shows up a lot.
Imagine how camels feel ..."

Don't you wear lycra shorts to the gym hottie? Have seen quite a few camel toes at the leisure centre/gym I go to. |

Once sat in aeeting transfixed by the senior exec who was presenting and who had the most amazing CT. I jotted down Camel Toe on my pad and showed it to my gay female college/good friend sat next to me, and she had to leave the room as she had a fit of giggles |

Well my normal jeans that hang on my hips, the seam in the crotch isn't close enough to give a camel toe, I've always assumed it's where the seam goes up close so it shows everything. |

Not wearing underwear is another reason, so is having big labia (made me laugh that, i'm so childish).
I see there are products you can buy that get rid of it as well. |

I have big labia and hate underwear.
It's similar to a sports cup but for women to use to hide their labia, doesn't look comfy though. Apparently it can move out of place as well.
There were other good tips like wear long tops to hide it, or make your own cup using cardboard and pantie liners, yeah really. |

I have no wedged clothes to remove, I'd have to pull stuff right up tight to show one and that wouldn't be comfortable at all, I know some people like them but I wouldnt be comfortable like that, and obviously the OP is trying to lessen hers which is why she asked, not being awful about anyone else |

That doesn't sound very comfortable either, if I did have one it wouldn't bother me as long as I wasn't uncomfortable. |

Yeah i wasn't too bothered until some woman was staring at mine a not long back, now i'm self conscious about it. It is very noticeable though. |

Many years ago I had a pair of jeans that sat so wrong I referred to them as lip splitters. My best female friend called hers a beetle bonnet. I don't think I own anything these days that gives me a camel toe since I now prefer comfort to tight jeans that make my arse look good but are woefully uncomfortable on my other nethers. |

Guess part of the reason is that women wear what used to be underwear, as outerwear now.
Like leggings that basically are a pair of tights - hence enhanced CT visibility.
and the rear view in leggings totally hypnotizing.
Sorry what did u say |

I'd be horrified if any of my trousers did this to me (fortunately... I don't buy clothes that do it to me...). I wouldn't want people to look at my genitals while out in public, it would be pretty humiliating. |

That's exactly why I only wear leggings with long jumpers, don't really want random staring at my fanny while I'm walking down the street to see if I have camel toe! |

"More women shaming again.
Where hun? I've seen no negative comments unless I've missed it. "
The fact that the outline of normal genitalia has been given a name and perpetuates that we are nothing but sex objects and some are shamed that they have one. That invention to give women a smooth outline is a case in point.
There was also a thread recently where some were repulsed at completely natural bodily functions and needed products to feel better about it.
I'm very sad about the negativity that we place upon ourselves to conform to made up standards. |

I've never noticed myself having one but that whole area is pretty plump so that may be something to do with it! If anything is tight enough to show one I'd have a long top on anyway. |

If mine hadn't got stared at i wouldn't have cared. I'll get over it. I also have sticking out nipples that have been mentioned below and when they get highlighted i feel self conscious about that but forget about it again. |
