There's no whistle blower line to call? I take it the person is not an employee, if so, what do you think would happen if you reported it to the person in charge of allowing external visitors in? |

Given that they are a couple with verifications, I'm going to guess one of them works there! |

Isn't it simply a matter for the police? I'd have thought there were helplines set up for this now as the govt is desperate to avoid the radicalisation of British Muslims? |

no not in prison. and unfortunately the imam is the main imam in a prison and is employed full time by them. literally teaching in his Islam classes that the greatest honer for a Muslim is to be a martyr for the faith and then a whole load of other rather unhelpful and really quite shocking descriptive statements as to what should be done to the cufer and the rewards for doing so. this to a group of people who by in large are easily lead and not the most questioning when it comes to societal morals and are looking for acceptance and so many more issues i cant list |

I'm guessing, there's most likely already some kind of protocol in place, for such eventualities.
On the other hand, there's no hiding bullshit.

Well if he's an employee then the easy option is report it to HR, preferably with evidence. In my opinion the police are fairly useless with such matters, look what they did (or didn't) do when captain hook was preaching hate on the streets of London.
I'd be stunned of HR didn't suspend him immediately whilst an investigation took place, as long as you have some evidence. |

tried to report to the prison and through the chaplaincy to the reliant people and then found out the relivant person informed the imam and told him he didnt beleive the allegations and then the imam proceeded to take each member of his class into his office alone and spent hour or so with each compleatly unaccompanied. i got slighly warned that it would be in my best interest not to talkto anyone else and now worry for consequences. both if i do follow what could happen to my family in reprisal and if i dont what could happen to my and everyone elses family. |

So, you have a theology degree, so fully understand the concept of shahada, and how integral it is to Islam? You therefore no doubt appreciate that it doesn't necessarily involve blowing yourself up, nor killing others?
Are you totally sure you haven't misunderstood what has been said, bearing in mind the prison management don't seem concerned?
Assuming you are still sure, do you have any evidence? Diary notes of exactly what was said? If so I can't believe there aren't procedures in place for whistleblowers, either via the police, anti-terrorism, or Home Office.
But in the first instance, I would speak to your management one more time and say that you are still worried.
