If they have more than 6 spots and bigger than 5 mm they are a lady bird species known as a harlequin and this is not native to the uk. They will bunch up altogether and before you know it there will be 500 of them.
Watch out as they release a yellow goo as a defence mechanism which stains plus if you do have a bunch I Hoover them up but this is the important bit use detol on the area they where all together ortherwise you will find another colony a few days later hormones they put down to invite more to join them. |
