Trying real hard to send out good thoughts and woke up today with my happy head on, 3 days into my course of antibiotics and I can breath again without pain! I've got Pleurisy!
The last 7 days, New Year's Day I left my interior light on for 6 hours which led to me driving to the chip shop with my daughter Saturday got back to the car and car wouldn't start, luckily a guy in a taxi gave me a jump start with the leads he had. Ok that was fine not too much of a big deal. Sunday start being in immense pain every breath I took was sharp shooting pain in my chest, couldn't cough or sneeze, not helpful when you have the flu. Monday I dropped a load of bronzing pearls on my bedroom carpet and stood on 3 that crushed also the loft hatch dropped on my head as I was on the ladder after putting my Xmas trimmings away. Tuesday was ok nothing too bad. Wednesday morning 8:20am bailiff at my door for that outstanding parking fine, had to pay £397 or lose my car. Thursday really ill but nothing too bad happened. Today driving through the lane I went over a pot hole which slashed my front tyre and it's damaged my alloys, bent the rim. Had to pull in to a new housing estate where some very kind builders gave me a lift to my house so I could grab my purse and when I got back the other guy had put my spare tyre on so I could drive to the garage. £40 quid for another tyre even though only 2 months ago I bought 4 of the fuckers!
I'm at that stage now where in thinking anything else wanna happen now this week but I don't want to attract bad stuff, really need to know what people do when they want to think happy and positive cos at the moment I feel like I wanna batter someone, the bailiff would be a good one. |

Think of what could have been avoided and take that out of the equation, then think of the people who helped you when you were in trouble, then consider that the antibiotics worked and are helping you feel better.
It is hard to see things in a good light sometimes and you've had an almost comic run of problems. Hope it gets better. |

I'm really sorry that you've been having a hard time. Sometimes life just throws these things at us all at once and we just have to be strong.
I personally cuddle my dogs when I'm angry or sad. You could borrow them if you'd like.
I hope things get better for you.

Sounds like a rough time. However a lot of kindness from strangers has been shown which you should take as a positive.
I would kennel up at home until you feel better. Life always feels better when you feel better. |

Yeah I'm starting to feel better medically, antibiotics are working.
Ahh yes the people just normal people that helped like the taxi guy who was off duty minding his business about to get his chip shop supper and he heard me trying to turn the engine over and it was just dead and he said what's the problem and I just said it's just battery from leaving my lights on nothing mechanical and he was like right ale the handbrake off and he pushed my car closer to his and jump started me! Kind guy who will have good karma!
The builders today as I rolled in to this new housing estate with my wheel all fucked and flapping and me getting out and kicking it! They were like woah now love, think I might've been cursing a bit, I was like I need my purse from my house so one of them said open the boot and get your spare tyre out and he'll take you up to get your purse, so jumped in the van with the builder!
Guy in the garage changed my tyre but also put my car on the lift and checked all underneath it to make sure there was no other damage.
Yeah the kind acts off strangers makes you feel good. When I pick my daughter up from school gonna get back, stick out pyjamas on and watch Disney films and have lots of cwtches! |

As much as it sucks it could be worse. You have a home, food and family that love you. That's exactly how I do it. On the subject of the pothole, go get it photographed and measu_ed. There is a way you can claim back all damages through the council. |

Sounds like you've had a bad run - hugs.
Many years ago I framed a mantra which I try to recite at least once a day. Basically it identifies the positive aspects of my life, starting with having woken up, having a roof over my head, food on my table and a few bob in the bank - 95% of the world's population would trade their problems for mine.
If there are things you can change or mitigate, then formulate a plan to do so.
I read your bailiff post earlier - sounds like you have grounds for appeal, so I'd investigate what your options are and what the process is and pursue it.
Chin up - hope things improve

I can't - my pessimism is overriding too! I find the worst feeling in the world is being disappointed or caught off guard so preparing for the worst is kind of my default setting. |

With all that going on I don't blame you for wanting to batter somebody |

It sounds like you're half-way there already SW, well done. x
I tend to think things average out in the long-run, so you must be due some bumper good news soon - I'd buy a ticket for tomorrow's super-guaranteed-millionaire-Lotto thingy.
Have a great weekend.
