Dire Straits...Romeo and Juliet

An absolutely beautiful song full of emotion and based on Knopflers failed romance with Holly Vincent.

When he sang it live on Alchemy you could see the tears in his eyes. Gets me every time.

Any number of tracks by Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Ultravox etc. The dance scene was just starting to evolve. I could go insane trying to pick a best 80s track :D

Scunthorpe

There are so very many awesome 80's songs, two of my absolute favourites are Caravan of Love by the Housemartins and Through The Barricades by Spandau Ballet.

There were also some incredible Rock albums too though. Alice Coopers Trash as a total body of work is in my opinion one of the best albums ever. I've never heard another album that flows so well from one song to the next.

There were plenty of other notable albums too though, Appetite For Distruction, Slippery When Wet, Hysteria, Purple Rain &1999.... I could go on for hours
