why can't they look while having their profile hidden? i don't see how it affects you at all?
if they were interested they'd have messaged, doesn't matter how good or bad their rofile is or whats on it. |

You can manually block anyone on your looked at me list....even someone with a hidden profile  |

If I could have been bothered answering the first time I looked I'd have said this too. I'm a girl. 
I never check my looked at me page so I don't give a toss who does what with their profile. It's theirs to do as they please with it.  |

I never check my looked at me page so I don't give a toss who does what with their profile. It's theirs to do as they please with it. "

I had someone send me an initial "hi" message yesterday... no profile picture, no attached pictures, then when I clicked on his profile it was hidden! Do men think that's how to get a reply?!  |

Hmm..It isn't something that bothers me, but upon reflection....
I believe there is an option to not have your profile viewable by people without profiles on the site (correct me if I am wrong). In the instance of a hidden profile, they might as well not have a profile on the site. So I don't see what harm it would do to have the option of blocking people who have hidden profiles from viewing your profile same as you can for people who aren't on the site....
After all, the hidden profile may be that person's profile, but the same is true for the person whose profile is viewed, so I don't see that as being a very good argument in this case.

They aren't blocking they are hiding their profile so no one can look at them |

Perhaps the people with the hidden profiles haven't worked out how to view profiles in stealth mode?
I'm hidden because I'm not really meeting at the moment. It doesn't seem to stop people winking, trying to 'friend' me or sending me messages (even though I hadn't been on for two weeks).
They may have looked because of a post or because they were following a verification trail - it may not have been because they were considering whether to contact you about a meet.
When hidden I sometimes decide to search for what I am looking for. When I send a message I attach a picture. If they reply and want to see the profile I will come out of hiding so that I can see the profile.
What's the problem?

Im of the opinion that people that are hidden are taking a break and not meeting and are there for not active on the site so why should they be allowed to look at others and why are they looking if they are taking a break? |

Taking a break from meeting doesn't been they are banished. They can still look at profiles, partake in the forums and exchange messages - everything that everyone else using the site can do. It might be easier if you used the site the way you want and don't bother yourself with how others use it |

Taking a break from meeting doesn't been they are banished. They can still look at profiles, partake in the forums and exchange messages - everything that everyone else using the site can do. It might be easier if you used the site the way you want and don't bother yourself with how others use it "

I perv in stealth mode anyway so this doesn't really apply to me. And I don't look at who's looked at me very often.. When I do, I get weirded out by the same username popping up a dozen times in a few hours...
But like.. If someone has looked at your profile and not messaged you... They're probably not interested. Or they don't feel as though they fit what you're looking for. Either way, it doesn't matter because they saw your profile and didn't message you... So why torture yourself looking at people who aren't interested in you? |

Ok, put another way....if the site allowed people the choice to block people who have hidden profiles from viewing your profile, and someone with a hidden profile complained of being blocked because of this, would people say that it is the blocker's choice how to run their profile and to leave them to it? After all, it is the person blocking who is missing out, then, isn't it?
Does what dictates what is ok to care about depend on the capabilities of the site?
I am just curious. I personally don't care o people hide their profiles and look at mine.

even worse what about those who have a fake profile that they have hidden, who then view your profile in stealth mode in the character of the fake profile....

Why does they way other people choose to use the site and the features/tools given to us bother you so much? Just concentrate on your own profile and the way you choose to use the site, and let everyone else do the same! |

If you block hidden profiles and the hidden person got the block message it could become confusing. You may communicate with that person on the forum quite amicably but they then see they are blocked and assume it's due to some sort of animosity.
I don't respond to any posts where I know I am blocked to avoid being reported for communicating with that person and circumventing their block.
I will click through to a profile to find out if I am blocked if I don't know the person. As I am hidden it would mean I would be blocked by many, many more than already block me because they don't like me.
