... In your house this evening? (& can I come round?)
I'm making a beef stir fry. Instead of having rice I'm going to pop a head of cauliflower in my food processor and chuck it in the stir fry right at the end. It's deeeelish! |

"I was going to have soup but I've must found these slimfasts things in the shop, some kind of microwavable meal, haven't opened it to look yet but only 81 calories
Bet its yummy. "
Lol - sounds wonderful! Wish there was an easy way of working out how many calories are in home made dishes. For example I can't believe my lentils and chorizo with some chicken would have much at all, a tiny bit of oil used, no sugar, all fresh veg etc. |

Chorizo will be higher than you think, it's quite easy to work out most things. I normally jot dowm a recipe and then once you've figured it out once you just stick to the recipe so you don't have to work it out again x |

I know chorizo is high in calories, only 100g in total chopped into tiny pieces an I reckon what I've made would do 6-8 portions. Going to see if I can work it out |

Total lentil dish about 1400 calories, so assuming 6 large portions 230 calories + 140 with 2 large slices of chicken breast 370 for a pretty hearty meal. Not bad really. |

"Nothing I'm genuinely too poor
I hear that, might have a cuppa soup myself lol...think I've a couple in..."
Rather than buy cup a soups have you thought about making a big home made batch and freezing? Veggies are so cheap at present, 50-60p per kg that you could make an amazing nutritious soup really cheaply. I do it all the time, would rather my own stuff rather than some powdered crap which has little or no nutritional value. |

Main...chicken breast in a smoked peach mustard and honey with sautéed chilli, garlic, shallot and ginger. Pasta cooked with yellow miso with a dash of Worcestershire sauce. Griddled asparagus and a spicy carrot and papaya salad... |
