Is it possible for someone to hack an IPhone 5 and read your messages?
My reasons for asking are I sent someone a message and received a reply. A 3rd party was then sent the message and reply from a unknown number. Everything in the messages was exactly the same only difference was in the ones sent to the 3rd party was in capitals.
Before anyone jumps to conclusions not I was not playing away on anything like that, in fact the messages are rather boring.
My phone was never away from me, nor was the persons who I sent the message to.
So is it possible? is it difficult to do ? |

Very easy.
It's not the phone as such; it's the message once it hits t'internet that can be intercepted, captured and " hacked".
Whatssapp and yahoo messenger( and KIK are massively insecure. iMessage is a bit more secure .
Though it is nevertheless easy to hack any phone . Androids are extremely easy, iPhones less so
The only phones that are part-way secure are blackberries, and they can be hacked, unless you are using well encrypted software. |

Despite all of this, what would be the motivation to send dull messages to other recipients?
Surely stealing account details is more interesting. Perhaps OP just suffered a technical glitch. |

Well anything can be hacked.
But more likely , the original recipient and maybe the op are on something like whatsapp + it's been turned it into a group conversation , no? |
