"I know what the accusations are. Not nice" you make it sound like your the only person on this planet that knows.
Why do people do this break there neck to make a big deal out of something.
You could of said what he is being accused off.

I can only assume from your secrecy you too were involved.

Many people outside of Leicester probably haven't heard of him. Unless you're a police officer or soldier, then you most likely will know him and think he's nothing but a massive cock. |

Because of his comments regarding the police and the armed forces. There's lots of incidents of derogatory comments made by him in the national press, a quick Google search should bring up some results. Its quite clear that he has a general dislike for them. |

Was a minister in Tony Blair's government, is chairman of the home affairs committee, is on the labour national executive, was embroiled in a donations investigation, campaigned against Salmon Rushdie, campaigned and defended Lord Jenner (peadophile), one of the highest claimants of expenses, involved in lots of dodgy dealings over the years.
Not a very nice person, comes across as a bit of a slimeball on tv. |

If you've ever read a broadsheet during the Blair government you'd know who he is, he's not confined to Leicester. I don't know what the allegations are...not really sure I care either. |

You didn't need to read a broadsheet to know who he was. The irony of those allegations was that he is head of the ethics committee.
These allegations are far more serious

does raise some questions about the rights of people being investigated, the right to anonymity while being questioned etc. As always the law is playing catch up to the technology but how is it possible to police peoples views on Twitter/Facebook etc. |

Totally agree. Although it sounds like this is in anticipation of things being published in the press. |

Don't think it's about policing views but making sure of a fair day in court without tainted views brought on by social media |

On a completely separate story, I noticed that lord janner got off with those paedophile charges on health grounds, which was unfortunate as I think he had a case to answer for!

I once asked a girl on this site , where the town she lives in - actually is.
Her answer - look on google.
No, just fucking tell me you cretin. Or don't you actually know.
Get my point , or do I have to spell it out?
This thread is like a sandwich with no filling. |

But maybe people didn't want to post rumours in case it's like super injunctions and the site would have to delete the posts if they did? |

I posted up there ^^^^^^ what google told me, but i agree with you, whats point in a thread if people aren't going to give details in what they are talking about, just wasted 10 minutes googling some dick head when those that knew could just said.
Yes all allegations, maybe true maybe not, but i would think as per usual the great british public wont find out the real truth |

Then better surely not to start a post that will get people googling to see what alleged rumours are |

The truth is not to be found in a Twitterstorm and is, as usual, far more mundane.
But don't let it get in the way of a good moral outrage.
