Samsung S6 plus is good. I get my upgrade next month and that's what I'm going for from an S5.

I have an S6 Edge. Before that I had an HTC One M8.

If I'm being honest? I miss the build quality of the M8, I keep looking for a cheap new M9 on ebay. As both run Androids lastest operating system I guess its what you prefer visually. I play a lot of music which since getting the Samsung I do less of as the audio isn't as good as an M8/M9.

The best phone out there right now is the Sony Xperia Z5 & Z5 Premium.

I've always been a Samsung devote but they have lost their way lately as they try and match Apple and I think my Note 4 will be my last. Removing the external SD slot and the removable battery on the galaxy 6 was a bad move on Samsungs part

Windows phones are excellent and amazing value. Can buy outright and then take a much cheaper sim only contract, saving a fortune. Plus 12 months contracts are available, meaning less lock-in. (Month long rolling contracts too, but lower value).

I wish I had a spare £550 to buy a Z5 premium as the camera is one of of my main priorities. They will never match even the cheapest dedicated cameras though, but they do say that the best camera you have is the one you always have with you

As a tech guy I also love the Windows phones BUT they are seriously lacking the apps that Android and IOS has

I can't personally wait till Nokia are allowed to make their own phones again as a premuim Nokia (running android) has been my dream (I loved my N95)

Just make sure with an Android phone you have at least 16gb of interneal memory. 8Gb is too small and you will be forced to delete apps to update others.

Loved the S5 until some idiots nicked my car and threw the phone out. Back with an iPhone 4 and now waiting for the new Samsung to come out, seemingly it was leaked last week.

WAIT! Don't buy anything right now if you can help it.

MWC (Mobile World Congress) is right around the corner in March. It's the trade show where all the mobile computing giants reveal their new hardware for the first half of the year.

Generally Sammy, HTC, Google etc all bring out new stuff. Apple are typically Apple about it and do their own thing though.

I'm looking forward to see if HTC can pull their finger out of their arse and improve on the relatively pap offering that was the M9 (he says typing on an M7).

Im not convinced by the Samsung kit, so I'm considering the Z5 and Nexus 5x and 6P...
