"We voted to join a 'common market' the Germans saw it as an opportunity for the fourth reich and the french saw an opportunity to get revenge for Waterloo. " .
Yeah I get that old rivalry stuff, I just think it's what happens when you allow the folks in charge power to expand!.
If we'd had a European constitution setting out what they could and couldn't do from the beginning, I think we'd(Europe) have been alot better off from the outset...
It's been a bit of a coup de'tat right from the get go |

Well we've been through and overcome various issues with Europe...the 'butter-mountain', etc, but unless we get a 'pussy-mountain' in the near future I'm giving up on it. |

“Hell is paved with good intentions.”
? Samuel Johnson
And I think what started off with very good intentions to stop all war has ended up with it being a hellishly stupid contrivance.
I mean where did we vote for some twat in Brussels to tell our fishermen they have to throw perfectly edible dead fish back into the North Sea? To preserve fishing stocks?? Oh but the Spanish can plunder our coasts as they wish of course. Sort of how they couldn't when we were independent and Nelson held sway ...
We now have the stupidity of all the members of the EU closing their borders by erecting fences to immigrants but we can't stop immigrants coming here.
I don't care what D.C. brings back I am voting OUT.... |
