little house on the praire

So for those of us in that bracket what benefits do you take advantage off if any?

I was going to pick some leaflets up from the ageuk but still haven't gotten round to it yet.

I've decided that if its available and I can use it I'm going to take advantage of it

I don't mean money benefit, I mean benefits in general like over 50s classes and stuff like that, cheap insurance

They don't give stuff away free. They charged a friend £20 to cut his toenails + petrol money. They provide services specifically for older and vulnerable people.

Think I am still in denial about being over 50. I don't fancy a saga holiday just yet. But if I come across anything I will let you know.

Karen,

You are not old. You may think so but 62 is old. Nobody but nobody knew my age until I was able to get a free travel on London Transport and apply for a railcard. Now everybody knows and suddenly I am my age and the bastards dont even want to see my ID.

At your age you can't even get into ove 55s housing and it gets worse. You will have to wait longer for your pension and freedom pass - but on the bright side you have another 12 years until you are old so forget about it till then..and what are you doing next Friday?
