Good morning all
I've got a Samsung S5 and it's just under a year old. Recently the apps just stop working and I have to switch it on and off. I'm sure I probably need to update stuff but no idea what. I can't seem to find anything online to help me |

"I have a factory reset and start again at least once a year when mine has a funny. Usually sorts it out but remembering account details can be fun "
Oh what a good idea. Like you say its just a bit of a pain trying to remember all the settings etc. Thanks! |

Has it got firmware updates, such as newer android operating system versions released?
I don't use android now as many manufacturers barely update handsets once they're sold.
I'd factory restore it and update, if available.
Backup your stuff too. And delete what you don't need - clutter could slow it down. |

"
I had that. Had to factory reset it after speaking with my network provider. |

"Go into Google play where you download the app. Click on my apps and that should tell you what needs updating
Do you have a virus check app on your phone?"
Yes I have two virus check apps and I run them every week. |

I dont know.
Its looking like the best course of action would be complete factory reset and start again |

I'd do the factory reset and probably only update it if it still had issues. Sometimes updates will be bug fixes, as well as improvements - but I'd stick with what you know, if factory reset fixes it. |
