People have their pics relocated everyday their was a thread earlier about a couple who had a DP pic relocated to another profile my face pic was used to front some other guys profile it happens a lot |

I think they did a study on adult websites or swingers or something, and folk got wind of it, as a result it's migrated to every swingers and dating site. Although it may only be an internet myth, just what i heard on the grapethread.
Personally i think it smacks of self importance, having that at the bottom of your profile.  |

Somone started it as a troll/chain mail kinda thing and it has been going on ever since.
Nearly every site has some form of silly notice people copy and paste.
Personally i love the "you will be prosecuted etc" ones. I seriously doubt most people would out themselves 6hrn spend the years and tens of thousand sof pounds trying to get a private conviction of a forigen national |

 when I first joined the site I followed suit and did the copy and paste thing about Sydney University thinking as everyone else was doing it it must be the right thing to do.
Then, not long after, came to the same realisation that it's a total waste of time so removed it. I wonder if Sydney Uni has a special faculty and a huge ongoing study lasting years into dating / swinging sites? Or was it one students thesis once!? |

Having just googled Sydney university sex studies .. They do run a study course .. But it seems more concerned with attitudes to sex education and young people s attitudes towards sex rather than swinging |

Apparently in 2006 a researcher in the Sydney University Classical History Department did a study on the Myths of Ancient Roman and Greek orgies, and in his text made some passing reference to modern day swinging, and sex sites.
It was something very minor and if no academic importance. It was not some study into swinging.
Every so often, a journalist will do some sort of " expose" of " swinging".
Frankly no-one gives a shit unless they discover some " celeb" or politician doing it.
The bigger danger is for those who have more sensitive jobs ( teacher etc) who could be vilified by the puritanical if they were " discovered" .
I guess those people are simply more discreet with their face pics etc. |
