I've noticed this morning that a number of people are being very aggressive and argumentative today. Perhaps people need to be more accepting of others opposing _iews and tastes. A more accepting attitude and positive manner would make the start to this newly minted year a great deal more pleasant.
So to this end I think we should have group hugs and a big love in so post here something nice about the person above |

"Depends. What if the "aggressive" post is a reply to a closed-minded post?
Do two negatives then turn into a positive "
Or is it just double the negativity?! |

The forums have always stirred up emotions. I have seen very innocent threads, turn into real wars of words. |

"That's what happens when the football argument gets opened
It's all in good spirits everyone just wants to fuck each other anyway "
Its not just the football thread!
I think people are grumpy that Christmas is over and the day job / credit card bill will be here soon. Group hugs are a lot more fun than shouty posts

Surely the point of an open mind to accept all points of _iew, be they placative, fawning, angry or aggressive.
An open mind allows someone to consider all opinions, even the ones they personally don't like - not to tell a few people to take a draw from the 'Forum Bong' and chill out!

And the prize for the buzz kill post goes to...!
People are entitled to their anger and resentment but it needs channeling correctly. Snapping at someone who holds _iews different to your own is just pointlessly negative.
And professor, its clear that you're an intelligent and articulate forumite, I always enjoy your input |

Id suggest that as a new category for the Forum awards, 2016!

What ire? I'm not sure what ire you're referring to, but it's not mine!

2016 is shaping up to be the most aggressive Fab year yet by the look of some of the posts going on.
It's only a handful of mood hoovers who do it though. Perhaps it's the post holiday blues?
Merry New year! |

Couldn't agree more OP it seems like people are being a little too quick to judge each other
If people don't like what they see there is no reason to get out their box about it just don't look at it eh |

Wishing for people to be accepting of other random opinions on a forum, ain't gonna happen!
Way too many strong, opinionated characters on here, still it's passes the time.. |

This is the attitude the Australian forums adopted.
It's a slippery slope.
