this isnt a rant
should respect be given or earned
its about people in general if you respect everyone and get none back you will inevitly be getting used by them
also
if you give none and demand respect for nothing you are using them
this is not about swinging |

In all aspects of life respect has to be earned."
I couldn't agree more. I've found, as I am sure we all have, that those who demand loudest that their point of view be respected are often the same people who don't then tolerate the point of view of others.
Like certain religious fundamentalists who are the first to demand that their religion be respected, but are the same people out there with the placards demanding death to others.... |

Earned respect is a nice thing to have though and to me a valued thing."
Back in the good old days, when I was young, so very very long ago. Respect was mutually earned from, teachers, police all walks of life.
Problem is that today it is just assumed to be there |
