Personally I think NYE is one big anti climax, haven't bothered with it since the millennium and even that was crap, so, not going out, having a few drinks in the house and will probably be in bed by 11, so are you in or out? |

Normally I work but getting home at like 4 am isn't much fun and too tiring a shift now so I choose not to work it and lose out on the bonus (which is taxable lol). I shall be lazing at home, watching tv and having an early night as got work tomorrow anyway |

Agreed. All forced jollity.
It's also a massive rip-off!
And that's before you take your taxi fare home into consideration

I'm staying in and happy about it too!
Shortly I'm going out to by ALL the yummy things that I'm not allowed to eat the rest of the year - ALL the wine and maybe purchase some new lingerie ready for 2016 shenanigans  |

Last time I went out for new years eve it was in an ambulance, I was in labour...that was 33 years ago.
Ilike to stay in and reflect. Told the other half to go out with his mates: I like being alone. |

Well I HAD plans to go out tonight but now it's pissing down and don't really want to go out in it.
There always seems to be so much pressure to enjoy yourself on NYE, then the chimes come and go really quickly *ding* and then there's no longer a focus or a goal to the night other than to drink shitloads and start a scrap. |

Just another day for me......... will have a couple of beers and avoid NYE tv  An evening of reflection, lost my dad this time of year 4 years ago........ Early night, might even miss seeing it in..... Then up in the morning and bang 150K on the bike to cheer me up |

I even bought some sexy stuff to wear but it makes me laugh to even think about wearing it so i will not bother and will be asleep by midnight

I am staying in with wine, was hoping to end the year on a high note but actually feel very flat this evening with some family stuff going on.

Oh we will have fun but it will be well before midnight as I'm not a night person

I totally love new year and only had a bad one once when I couldn't go out because I was ill.
If you find it an anti climax I would suggest you are going out with the wrong people to the wrong places. |
