This thread may not be for everyone, but wanted to put it up in light of news heard today.

I am sure we have all lost somebody close to us at some time so this is a thread to say how we feel about who we have loved and lost and for those taken from us too soon.

For me: Steven, Scott, Craig and Nathan.... my boys that were taken from me too soon. I love you all and you will always be with me my angels.

Stevie: taken from us last year in your prime - I know you are not in heaven, you were a dritier more deviant git than me

I have been so lucky in my life that everyone near and dear to me apart from my grandparents and one cousin is still alive and well. All the people I knew as a child I still know as an adult and I bless the mighty suns of home that they are still here.

My condolensces go out to all those not so lucky and for whom grief is a daily pain.

My son would have been 21 in May. I can recall every second of the day he died, today's not over yet and I can't remember this morning.

Losing a child clouds everything...you're never the same again, no matter how you try.

I love my girls, they are a joy and a blessing, and I'm immenslehy proud of them...but there's a child missing...the gap is always there.

My late partner, tragically taken away from me and those who loved him just over 2 years ago by the Kennet and Avon canal due to a canal boating accident.

RIP, and have fun whatever you are doing. I hope there is no speed limit, and BHP is unlimited wherever you are!

... edited from the original version as it was too long and personal, and made me cry!

_muma, Thanks for this thread xx

Gosh, where do I start!

My dear nephew, killed while on Designated Driver duties at the beginning of the evening on January 6th 2007, aged 20. The other driver pulled out to overtake without looking and then pressed a Nitrous button!

An old work mate and friend, Rab. Diabetic but doing OK.. Said he felt some pains and would see the Doc about them on the Wednesday appointment (3 days) Went to bed and died of a massive heart attack.

Alfie, who I never met, but along with loads on here, we went through Kittys pregnancy with her and he was "Our" little man! I remember the shock I felt then which was repeated ten fold today when I heard that Kitty had lost her new son.

Life isn't fair and Kitty has had more than her fair share of heartache, but I know she will bounce back into the forum one day and we will all rejoice that she is back.

Love and best to all those who have lost someone dear to them xxxx

i lost my son in 1995 thro illness, he was only 20 months old and we was told shortly after his birth they wasnt expecting him to reach 5, i think it was only because i had a three year old and his 20 month old twin sister that pulled me thro it, i suppose when you have other kids you have to stay strong for them

I also lost my Nan 2 years ago which also shattered my life, she was the only person in my childhood that made me feel loved, i spend most of my childhood living with her as i had a alchoholic father who was very abusive so spend most of the time being taken into care and sent back home again, i loved her so much she has 12 kids of her own and still made time of me and my syblins so we didnt have to stay in a care home

I lost my youngest sister Sara 14 years ago this march, she was only 30, another victim of cancer, she left behind three very young children, the youngest was still in nappies.

my mum was left with the very difficult task of bringing the kids up, and what a great job she has done, I am pleased to say.
