It's my (awful time of year to have one) birthday today, a year away from 40.
Now I've no worry about ageing, quite enjoy it but do women fear it as the time where we become less visible and considered past it?
Bring it on I say! |

I remember cutting my hair short because I thought 30 was unbearably old and I had to put away childish things..... thank fuck that didn't last long.
Life gets better. Trust me. |

"I've found life getting better as I've aged.
I'm less tolerant of crap.
More likely to take chances to do something fun .
And definitely have more confidence.
"
Same here. Life just gets better (or it should do!).
And in my experience, women get better with age. Happy birthday OP! |

Age is just a number.
But it seems some people just think that when they get to one of these numbers, life and fun has to stop.
The advantage of being 50+ is that you know lots, can behave like a 29/30 year old if you wish, and you don't have to care what people think .
It is easier for men; we can play the " distinguished older man" card; social pressure still tends to want women to look young;
But the sexiest woman I know is 55, with grey hair. Very sensual, funny, intelligent.
I'll take one 50 year old over two 25 year olds any day...

In my opinion women become less visible because they make themselves so. Its true that some consider us past it but thats their problem
I say bring it on too |

I'm sure as hell not invisible Hun - and I very much doubt you will be either!
I've never been short of attention from the opposite sex and it certainly didn't diminish when I passed 40 lovely!
It's just a great excuse for a big party!! |

"40's are awesome..thought it was good in your 30's?..telling you in aint nothing on your forties xx enjoy it to the max
xx"
Nothing more hotter than a woman with somae age behind her.. Honestly women do only get better with age especially in a bedroom.. I would much rather and older experianced woman than a young inexperienced woman |

I'm 39 and a half lol. I feel like I've suddenly found my true self. Was married for 20 very boring years. Faithful to the same man from the age of 15. Split up a year ago and found fabs 8 months ago. Suddenly have the confidence to admit to being bisexual...and to do something about it! Never felt so sexually empowered.
Does help that I have an amazing boyfriend who encourages me to try 'almost' anything I like. I look back at my pre pregnancy figure and think, yeah, I looked amazing, but I had no confidence at all. Didn't make the most of myself and my 34DD boobs lol.
Now I'm much more curvy (38GG) but I know that I'm desirable. It feels great.
Thinking about organising an orgy for my 40th in July who's coming? |

My 40th was completely rubbish for all sorts of reasons but, several years on, I can honestly say life is good, my career is right on track and my sex life is the best it's been. Happy birthday, OP.... welcome to the best decade. |

Happy birthday lovely.
I get age-paranoia on occasion (usually followed by a roll of the eyes and a telling off from my number one wing man), but I have to say life since turning 40 has been pretty damned spiffing. Best mid-life crisis ever! |

I'm 36... I lost 4.5 stone over the past year, and intend to shift the rest... I feel better about myself and am becoming more comfortable with my looks as I get older. Plus my other half tells me I'm hot all the time that helps lol... Bring on 40 I say!! Xx |

In a couple of months I shall no longer be 50 but firmly "in" my 50s. Have just had my grandson for a few days and I've lost count of the people I just vaguely know saying to me they didn't know I'd had another baby
If I wear a skirt more than 17" long I feel a frump and I'm doing a tandom sky dive for my birthday only thing is the cheeky twats want me to provide a medical certificate as I'm over 50 lol
I'm immortal, think I'm 21 and bloody well going to act it |

"Not at all. Some women get better with age so it's win win "
Exactly, when I was 28 I had a 7 yr relationship with a 41 yr old, we got into swinging together (via Rendezvous) and I had some of the best sex of my life |

Diamond, you are a gem!! You are currently my inspiration for being a bit less curvy when I turn 40 |
