Hey fabsters x

I'm going to partake in a prolonged Colonic later as part of my cleanse and detox post Christmas routine x

Does anyone else enjoy the Heath benefits of this ? X

King's Crustacean

It has NO benefits.

The intestines do it themselves.

Eat plenty of veg , drink fluid. Lay off crap.

Job done.

There are no health benefits;

The claims that you are somehow detoxed by colonic treatment are utter bullshit.

And on the contrary, it can be harmful by removing some of the natural bacteria and bodily fluids which reside there normally,

In addition, some treatments include herbal extracts which can be harmful; causing electrolyte imbalances and even heart attacks in some cases. Poorly maintained equipment and bad techniques can cause bowel infections and injuries.

Just drink water, eat sensible food. Save the money and do something more useful with it.

It can have health benefits, blondecaz is the expert on this.

I would like to have it done but there is nowhere here that does them and I don't fancy travelling far afterwards

I think you will get differing opinions in the benefits or lack of them and also on the harm they can do.

I'm in the no benefits camp verging on them being harmful eg getting rid of things that should be there

I've got a home kit so it doesn't cost me anything! X

You are correct though- I do it monthly as it's wrong to remove good bacteria x

It's satisfying afterwards x

My best mates wife has it done every two months.

Goes with her best mate. They take s book during her lunch break.

Swear by it.

Think you have to drink good bacteria drinks after. Or something like that.

i had it done professionally and to be honest it was nowhere near as bad as i thought it would be..... basically ended up laying on my side for 45 minutes whilst machine was doing what it has to do... and i was just listening to my ipod.....

they said don't do it more often than 6 months at a time

I felt a lot less bloated than i had before....

Our fem had a huge health improvement after having it done professionally. Pretty much stopped her IBS problem.
