How come it's hard to find a toaster that fits a while slice of warburtons bread

They either stick out of the top or don't brown properly

Off to have a look in currys today

Any suggestions guys?

Put it in bottom end first, then after a little while before the colour starts to turn, turn it the other way up, you will then get a bit of a stripe across the Middle of the bread, by this time there should be enough shrinkage for the bread to fit in in its side, and there you go, one evenly toasted slice.

Alternatively you could buy a 4 slice toaster, the ones where you put two slices in one slot, but use it as a two slice, these also work well if you are toasting a slice of bloomer, or any other irregular shape bread

Makes sense, and then you have a snack for the journey home,or a stop off at yr local pond to feed the ducks.

I've got my eye on a delonghi from currys....

Perhaps you could a slice of bread with you when shopping to see if they fit... And maybe wrap some cling film around it so you don't make a mess?

Bake your own bread at the right size or shop around for alternatives.

I had the same problem when I needed a new toaster. Slots are all too small.

The old one was a Russell Hobbs and it had huge slots - could take everything.

New one is a R.H. and has the biggest slots I could find - yet they still won't accommodate a full slice of Warburtons. Have to cut 1/2" off the top
