I had mine yesterday.

I'm not allowed to cook, so I was responsible for washing up. It didn't matter how much wine I consumed!!

I've stuck to Buck's Fizz so far. Beef in slow cooker, gammon boiling, veg prepped & oven on ready to heat goose fat for potatoes & parsnips. I've never cooked Christmas on my own before so fingers crossed!! I don't actually care if it's inedible - I'm the happiest I've been I years & we can just eat Pringles & profiteroles instead

As we had breakfast so late, ie noon, dinner has been postponed until five ... we are up at four am to fly out for a week, so we have to eat all the leftovers today ... Mr is currently forehead down on the dining room table after celebrating with a bottle of wine. The dinner is looking good though ... all making progress!

We have a brace of pheasants in the oven and a bottle of Barolo airing. About to get stuck into the smoked salmon starter!

I am stuffed. The turkey was a highlight alongside my fabulous stuffing.

I prepared mine before consuming a bottle of Prosecco and got the lad to finish it off. He used his new spring loaded pump action potato masher which as predicted, is probably the best gift I have ever got him.

Have to say I've surprised myself & pulled it off!! The boys even ate vegetables without being asked!! I'm so happy I could cry. Best Christmas since 2011 x
